Car's Story

After Bayside I went to Queens College. I earned my degree in mathematics which turned out to be a hot ticket. I went to work as a computer scientist for IBM and lived on in an old farmhouse in Hyde Park. Twice a week I would travel back to the city to earn my masters degree in computer science from Columbia. I moved back to Flushing and met a beautiful dark haired girl named Louise on blind date. Four months later we were married. We moved to Toronto where I started work on a Phd but wound up returning to New York and getting an MBA from NYU Stern. e we raised my daughter Rachel and my son Alex in Armonk. From management consulting I ventured into business as the CEO of two private companies. With our children basically grown, we moved to Tribeca and I built my dream house in East Hampton. I retired a couple of years ago and we moved to Williamsburg Brooklyn, on the East River. We have two beautiful grandchildren who live just two ferry stops down the river from us in Dumbo. We see them several times a week. Though life isn't perfect, I am a happy camper. I recently reached out to some of my best friends from Bayside who I haven't seen in some cases for forty years. We are all getting together next month. The story continues...
